Adding notes

Add notes after your meetings, and sales calls. Tag and reply to your teammates to unlock collaboration

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To have a full overview of notes (and reminders), you can watch our video guide:

On folk, notes are collaborative and you can pin them to a specific contact: people, companies or deals.

Notes can be used in multiple ways: after your sales calls, to add meeting notes, personal notes, assign a task or mention a teammate.

Sharing and access

When creating a note on a contact, by default it will be visible to everyone who has access to this contact (the note is linked to the contact). If the contact is in multiple groups, the note will be shared across all groups. Members who have access to these groups, will have access to the notes added to the contacts in these groups.

If a contact is removed from all groups, the notes added will still be visible on the contact's profile in the Search.

You can decide to set up your note as private, if it is a private information that should be only visible to you. Just enable the 'Private' button before adding your note.

You can always decide later, to set up a public note as private, or a private note as public (if you are the note creator) by clicking the 3 dots next to the note.

Collaboration

To unlock collaboration, you can type "@" in the notes section and tag one (or multiple) of your teammates. They'll receive an email and in-app notification.

Then you can reply to an existing notes by hitting the reply button next to the note.

When mentioning them, your teammates will be notified in-app (in the Notifications center) with the ability to open the contact's profile to see the notes added.

Editing

To format your notes and make communication clearer, don't forget to format your text using bold, italic, underlined, numbered and bulleted lists.

You can also add images or attach files to your notes.
