Access & permissions at the group level

Updated over a week ago

When sharing a group to other members of your workspace, you'll be able to set up different permission access for each members you're sharing the group with.

We have 4 types of permissions:

  • Owner: the owner is by default the user who created the group (owner cannot leave or be removed from the group)

  • Full access: can edit contacts and structure and publish the group

  • Can edit: can edit contacts but can't edit the group structure and values

  • Can view: can only view contacts

How to set up permissions

On the top right of your group, you can click Share to give access to other members of your workspace and set up their permissions in the group.

By clicking Share, you can either share the group to everyone (all members of the workspace) and set up the same permission for everyone.

Or you can share only to the relevant members of your workspace and you can set up different permissions for each member.

Just type the members name in the Search bar, set up their role and click invite to share the group with them:

Considerations:

  • If the group owner is removed from the workspace, the workspace owner becomes the group owner.

  • Once the group is shared to everyone with full access, there is no group owner anymore.

Please note that this is a Premium feature for advanced teams.

On the Standard plan, all members have the permission (Full access).
