Add an unsubscribe link to your emails

Adding the unsubscribe link

Unsubscribe links can be added to both single messages and email sequences. When creating an email, select 'Insert unsubscribe link' in the action toolbar at the bottom of the message. This will automatically add a link for your recipients to unsubscribe from your emails.

You can change the wording by replacing 'Unsubscribe' with your preferred word/sentence, such as 'Unsubscribe from our mailing list'.

What happens when someone unsubscribes?

When recipients unsubscribe from your folk emails, they appear in your 'Not sent' folder in your messaging analytics. When in this folder, select the email address on the left-hand side, and a yellow banner will appear with details explaining that this recipient has unsubscribed from emails.

If you initially sent an email to this person before they unsubscribed from your latest one, they won't appear in the 'Not sent' folder for any of these previous emails, and selecting them in a previously sent email won't show a yellow banner. They will only show as unsubscribed from the email and for future emails since they unsubscribed.

πŸ’‘ Please note: when recipients unsubscribe from your folk emails, you can still select them as part of your recipient list for future emails. Although an email won't be sent to them, a message will be deducted from your monthly allowance. We recommend creating a column in your groups to tag someone as unsubscribed or not so that when you want to email a set of people from a group, you're able to filter out the unsubscribed and ensure your message allowance isn't affected.

I want to resubscribe someone/myself
