The folk mobile app ("Contacts by folk") lets you capture a business card with your camera and folk automatically reads the card and fills in the contact's details for you. No more manual typing at events.
Note: Business card scanning is available in the folk mobile app on iOS and Android. If you don't have it yet, see Download the folk mobile app.
Scan a card
Open the folk mobile app.
Tap the + button.
Select Scan a business card.
Take a picture of the card — or tap to add one from your photo library if you already have a photo of it.
folk reads the card and pre-fills a new contact. Review the detected details, edit anything if needed, and tap Save.
Which fields does folk detect?
folk automatically recognizes and fills in the information printed on the card, including:
Full name (first and last name)
Job title
Company
Email address
Phone number
Website
Address
