How to connect folk & Allo

Sync calls & notes from Allo to folk

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Allo-folk integration automatically syncs call recordings and summaries to your folk CRM as interactions. Perfect for keeping your contact records up to date without manual data entry.

Setup Steps

1. Get Your Folk API Key

  1. Log into your Folk account at app.folk.app

  2. Navigate to SettingsAPI

  3. Click New API key

  4. Name your key "Allo" (or any name you prefer)

  5. Click Create key

  6. Copy the API key immediately (you won't be able to see it again)

2. Connect in Allo

  1. Open the Allo app

  2. Go to SettingsIntegrations

  3. Find Folk in the list and tap Connect

  4. Paste your Folk API key in the field

  5. Tap Save & Connect

  6. Wait for the "Connection successful" confirmation

When you connect folk, all your contacts will be imported into Allo automatically. You can now easily access and call them directly from the app.

How It Works

Automatic data sync:

Everytime you update folk or have an activity in Allo, everything syncs in real-time. Your folk contacts, companies, and deals are imported into Allo. Any contact you create or update in Allo automatically creates or updates that contact in folk.

After each call:

Every time you finish a call in Allo, the system automatically updates folk in real-time with:

  • Call recordings – Full audio saved to the contact record

  • Summaries – AI-generated key points and action items

All information appears in folk records as Interactions, keeping your CRM current without any manual work.

Troubleshooting

Connection failed?

  • Verify your API key is correct

  • Make sure you copied the entire key without extra spaces

  • Check that your Folk account is active

Calls not syncing?

  • Confirm the integration shows as "Connected" in Allo Settings

  • Make sure the contact exists in your Folk database

  • Check your internet connection during the call

Need to reconnect?

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrationsFolk

  2. Tap Disconnect

  3. Follow the connection steps again with a new API key
