How to connect Mailchimp and folk using Zapier

Prerequisites

A Mailchimp campaign that’s ready to send
An existing Mailchimp audience
A Zapier account connected to both folk and Mailchimp
API key access for both platforms

Step 1: Prepare Mailchimp

In Mailchimp, create or open your campaign.
Ensure you have an audience ready (e.g., “My Newsletter Audience”).
Configure your campaign so that all subscribed contacts in this audience will receive it.

Step 2: Create the Zap Trigger (Folk → Zapier)

In Zapier, create a new Zap.
Trigger App: Select folk.
Trigger Event: Choose Person custom field updated.
Connect your folk account.
- You’ll need your API key (found under Integrations in folk).
Configuration:
- Select your folk group (e.g., “Mailchimp Newsletter”).
