How to connect folk & KrispCall

Integrating folk with KrispCall lets your team automatically sync calls, SMS, voicemails, and contacts between both tools — so you can keep your CRM up to date without manual work.


1. Connect folk from KrispCall

  1. Log in to your KrispCall account and go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Search for folk and click Connect.

  3. A pop-up will appear requesting permission to access certain data — approve the request.

  4. In folk, go to Settings → API, then click New API key to generate one.

  5. Back in KrispCall, enter your folk domain and API key, then click Connect Now.
    ✅ You’ll see folk listed under your active integrations once the connection is successful.


2. Manage integration settings

Admins can manage member integrations directly from KrispCall:

  • Ensure members have their folk accounts connected

  • View and edit member integration settings

  • Members cannot see or change admin integrations

  • Changes made by admins don’t affect members (and vice-versa)

To edit or delete an integration:

  • Click the three dots (…) next to the folk integration

  • Choose Edit or Delete

  • Confirm your choice in the pop-up window


3. General settings

These options control what data syncs between folk and KrispCall:

Create new contacts for calls

When on, new contacts created in KrispCall are added to folk.

Contacts 2-way sync

Keeps contacts in sync between both platforms — including an initial sync of existing contacts.

Notes logging

Syncs call notes from KrispCall to folk.


4. Workflow settings

Control which activities are logged in folk under Team interactions:

  • Incoming answered/unanswered calls → log as Calls (Engagements) or disable

  • Outgoing answered/unanswered calls → log as Calls (Engagements) or disable

  • Voicemails → log as Calls (Engagements) or disable

  • Unassociated numbers → log as Contacts or Opportunities

  • Incoming/outgoing SMS → log as SMS or disable


5. Connected numbers

By default, all numbers linked to your KrispCall channel are selected to sync.
If you purchase new numbers later, add them manually under Connected numbers to ensure call and SMS logs are synced to folk.

Note: if no numbers are selected, call and SMS logs won’t sync.


6. Call & SMS sync behavior

Once connected:

  • Incoming/outgoing calls are automatically logged in folk under Team interactions (including recordings if auto-record is on).

  • Voicemails appear as call logs in folk.

  • SMS messages (inbound & outbound) are synced to Team interactions → SMS.


7. Using the dialer from folk

You can make and log calls directly from folk using the KrispCall Chrome extension:

  1. Open a contact in folk and click the dialer icon beside the phone number.

  2. Log in to your KrispCall workspace.

  3. The contact’s number and country code will appear automatically.

  4. Choose Call or SMS, then start your conversation.

  5. All activities will sync back to folk.


8. Multiple folk accounts

KrispCall allows integrating multiple folk accounts within a single workspace.
Each integration keeps its own settings — changes in one do not affect others.


9. Notes & tags

  • Notes can be added during a live call directly from the dialer (stored in KrispCall).

  • Tags must be created in KrispCall before they can be applied in the dialer.

  • Notes and tags aren’t synced to folk at this time.


That’s it!

Once the integration is active, KrispCall will automatically push all relevant call and SMS activity into folk — keeping your CRM always up to date.
