If you're having trouble using the folkX extension, it may be due to third-party cookies enablement ruining the fun on LinkedIn or on your Google account. Here's how to fix it.
LinkedIn settings
You need to ensure that you've enabled cookies on your LinkedIn profile. For that just follow these quick steps:
Go to your Settings & Privacy
Click Data Privacy in the menu
Select Manage cookies preferences
Switch the toggle next to Cookies from Off to On
Google settings
You need to make sure that you have enabled cookies for folkX on your Google account. For that, just follow these quick steps:
Go to your Google accounts settings: chrome://settings/cookies
Go to Privacy & Security and then Cookies and other site data
By default, the second option "Block third-party cookies in Incognito" should be selected but it's possible that on your account the third option is selected: "Block third-party cookies"
You can either select the second option, or you can add Linkedin and other websites where you use the extension as trusted sites in the third option:
In the section "Sites that can always use cookies", click on "Add"
A popup will appear, and you need to add the website url, e.g.
[*.]linkedin.com
and select "Including third-party cookies on this site" and then click Add
Reload your page. folkX should now work!
Extension settings
If you want to only allow the extension to work on specific sites and not all sites, you need to make sure you add this link https://app.folk.app as a site, to make the extension work.
First you can select "On specific sites" in your extension settings:
And then you need to add this link: https://app.folk.app
