When importing people or companies in folk, you can import objects at the same time.
To import your deals or objects, you need to have a file where your deals are linked to either people (leads) or companies (accounts).
How to import deals
For deals linked to companies: Import them together with company data
For deals linked to people: Import them together with people data
File format
In your file, you should include people or company data along with:
A column for the deal name
Additional columns for custom deal values (e.g. deal value, deal status, deal amount).
Note: you can only import one deal per company at a time but you can import multiple deals for the same contact, by creating multiple lines in your file for each deal.
Before importing
Before importing your people and companies with linked deals, you'll need to create the custom field 'Deals' in your group. Here is how you can create deals in your group.
Once you've created the deal column (in the people or company view), create the relevant custom fields for the data you want to import.
To add custom fields such as deal status, deal value, or deal create date:
Open the deal's profile
Click "New field"
Import your file
After formatting your file and creating the relevant fields for your deal, you are ready to import the file:
Click on the 3 dots on the top right (from people or company view)
Select 'Import from a file'
Drag & drop your file or upload from your desktop
In the mapping step, you can map your deals and associated data to the previously created fields:
Map the deal name to Deals (your object column name)
Map deal data to deal's custom fields (these will be marked with "Deals -" prefix)
Considerations
Objects must be linked to either people or companies during import - you cannot bulk import standalone objects.
You can import one deal per company at a time
You can import multiple deals per person, if you create 1 line per deal in your file
